Tenacity, belief, respect - shared responsibilty, evaluation, critical, honest and open dialogue - money and resources, time and support, community involvement internally and externally, focus on rate of change rather than absolute achievement, differentiating between what you remember and what you know, for me being a teacher has been about all these things. It has also been about not having lost the natural tendancy of the child in me to ask the quetion 'why'. I still have so much to learn and I learn most of it from the people I work with.
